My fondest childhood memories are of summers spent with my grandparents in Kansas. I remember waking up many mornings to my grandmother doing her nails, listening to the radio (KFDI to be exact!), and reading. When my cousins and I saw the nail polish bottle and remover - we knew it was time to play outside and let grandma have some “me time”.
At 7 years old, I couldn’t conceptualize the idea of self–care, but now years later, I realize that my grandmother was the first person I’d ever seen prioritizing self-care.
For my grandmother Grace, nail care truly was self-care. Now, years later I find myself relaxing in the exact same way! Only now I grab an Audio book, turn on Spotify…and grab a bottle of NailAvail of course!
